In a statement, Lt. Jason Ferraro said that since police received the missing person report at 6:59 p.m., on Friday, May 24, a massive search has been underway for the 50-year-old woman who was known for her dedication to her children.

The case "remains a very active and dynamic investigation," and "we will not rest until we find Jennifer," Ferraro said.

Ferraro also said the department is sifting through more than 1,200 tips that have been received since Dulos dropped off her children at school and simply disappeared.

The department, along with the Connecticut State Police, the FBI, and the State Attorney's Office, has been "Working around the clock," in their search for "Jennifer," he added.

"We urge everyone with information regarding Jennifer’s disappearance to contact us," Ferraro said. "Our multijurisdictional law enforcement team is committed to (1) Finding Jennifer and (2) Bringing those responsible for Jennifer's disappearance to justice."

Carrie Luft, a friend of Dulos' and a representative for the family said "We miss her beyond words. Please know that the five children are doing well, surrounded by love and support."

Those close to Dulos, said they are reminded of Jennifer’s love for the Fire Island beach she visited as a girl.

"Last summer she was so happy to be able to share her favorite childhood spot with her own children," Luft said.
